The weekend events started on Friday evening with the fun and friendly but highly competitive Go Tri Aquathlon.  This was a 140m swim in the Moreton Hall Health club outdoor pool, followed by a 1.7km run round 10 Acre Field for all competitors, young and not so young.  The event was well supported and the damp conditions didn’t deter spirits. …

Lots of Wheelers triathletes were in action over the weekend, from Llanberis to Lanzarote. Lee French kicked off the weekend on Saturday, competing in Lanzarote Ironman.  Hot conditions, combined with an undulating bike course made this an ultimate test.  Lee completed the 3.8km swim in 1.13.34, 182km bike in 7.32.37 followed by a marathon in 4.58.50.  Very well done, Lee. …
