The penultimate round for this year’s winter series was held a Fritton Lake, near Bungay. Driving out from Bury to Fritton it looked like we might have left the rain behind us. However, at 11:15 the race started and so did the freezing rain. This made the conditions tricky and several sections of thick mud gave the tight and twisty course a proper cross country feel.
Numbers were a bit down due to several Wheelers taking on the Cambridge half marathon. Craig Stewart was first wheeler home with Steve Murton 2nd and Darren Sharman 3rd. Jan Murton led the women home with Elysia Sharman 2nd.
