Culford was once again host to the Wheelers Junior Triathlon on Sunday 2nd July. A beautiful but breezy morning greeted the 200 strong field and a great day was had by all.
Ella Stewart was again our first Junior off in a familiar role of bib number 2 in the Tristar category. True to form, she clocked another fantastic time to claim yet another 2nd place podium. Zack Broad was also on the podium for the boys in a well deserved 3rd place and Iris Endean completed the great performances from the junior Wheelers in this category.
The Triathletes kept coming thick and fast, with the Tristar 1s leading the next wave. – Isabel Moore, Sam Blackwell, Evie Flux, Sam Brook, Megan O’Brien, Cerys Evans, Keira Broad and Hannah Hatcher.
In the Tristar 2s we had Stuart Adam, Ashton Richardson, Bruno Endean, Thomas Verzijl, Jess O’Brien, Isabelle Woodward, Harry Slark-Hollis, Katie Slark-Hollis, Sophia Sauvage and Savanah Baker.
Our Tristar 3s were Oscar Woodward, Alex Richardson, Rhian O’Brien, Stephen Herlihy, Dylan Marsh, Lyla Endean, Sam Evans, Samuel Slark-Hollis and Kathleen Adam.
In the oldest category, youths, we had Will Harper-Davis on the podium in an impressive 3rd. Also competing were Oscar Endean, Kirsten O’Brien and Jennifer Adam.
All of our Juniors performed admirably and certainly showed how Wheelers do it on home soil.
Extremely well done to Denise and team for putting on another outstanding event which everyone enjoyed.
