Kings Lynn CC 10 mile TT

Stephen BrookNews, Time Trials

A tough afternoon racing at King’s Lynn Cycling Club 10. The first leg was brutal and a test of endurance into the wind for just over 3 miles. Mark Eastwood, never one to do things the easy way, completed it on a tricycle and came 1st in the tricycle category with a respectable 31:40.

John Steed choosing once again to ride his steel frame road bike, pulled off an outstanding bronze standard ride of 30:12. It was good to see Gerry Barton back in the saddle achieving a 34:18 on his road bike just 18 seconds off standard which Gerry puts down to taking too long to clip in.

Peter Kennedy managed to break even mostly due to his new go faster socks, achieving a bronze standard with 29:45. The legendary Martin Pyne performed best of all achieving a gold standard in these tough conditions of 25:57.
Our grateful thanks to Simon Hardy and the team of King’s Lynn Cycling Club for organising and for their great hospitality and Dean Gooding Photography for the photos.
