An update on club rides – and news of a Ride Leader’s course at Club HQ on Saturday 2 March.
Wheelers on the Community Ride on 3rd February
While we’re still putting up with damp, squally weather, most of our club rides are already in full swing. If you want to get out on the weekend, you’ll be in safe hands with Sara (leading the Community ride), Peter (leading the Mocha) and Jason (leading the Cappucino).
Here are some updates from the Community Ride from the last few weeks:
3rd February
Twenty was plenty for those of us who ventured out on our first community ride this year. A very pleasant chatty cycle around Rougham. Shout out for our leader Sara Hale who cycled in from Woolpit and has been keeping it going all through the winter.
10th February
Another crazy ride after yesterdays down pour, luckily our group only thought they may need a canoe along Horsecroft Road BSE , mud, big puddles galore everywhere!
We wound our way out to Pinford End whereupon Nick had issues with his chain going up hills. We were near Maglia Rosso so Nick stopped off to see what could be done as we headed up into Stanningfield. Nick messaged to say he would intercept us on the way as we entered Cockfield and back to a full compliment of riders we headed to Rougham onto cycle paths back to HQ.
A lovely social ride at a relaxed pace and it sounds like we got away lightly unlike the cappuccino ride with their puncture fest!
A big thank you to John Q, John S, Nick M and guest rider Katrina W for joining me today it was very much appreciated !
