Results are in from the Nowton Park round of the Winter XC series – sadly no times seem to have been recorded only the finish placings 🙁
Anyway, we had our best turnout ever with 21 wheelers taking on the challenge, and our best points haul of the season so far ! 🙂
Numbers overall seemed to be down compared to some of the other races but it definitely wasn’t the weather putting people off – it was a perfect sunny morning, no wind and just the right temperature for hard running.
The course was it’s usual heavy going mud in places with many people finding it very slippy, a few even lost a shoe in the worst sections.
Another strong performance from Clement Wallace saw him first Wheeler home in 45th, Darren Sharman in 86th followed closely by Paul Rooke in 91st. Hannah McInroy Naylor was first home for the ladies in 105th, followed by Emilie Lostis in 132nd and Jan Murton in 183rd.
