Round 3 of the winter XC series was just up the road at Haughley Park.
A merry band of Wheelers assembled to take on the best and toughest course of the season, the weather was mild and over cast – which is better than the snow and rain we’ve had the last few years.
A great run from Clem Wallace saw him finish 52nd and first wheeler home followed by Craig Stewart and myself (Darren). Malcolm and Phil had a great race, finishing just 5 seconds apart, with Malcolm taking the bragging rights!
Next round is ‘our’ home race at Nowton Park, it would be great to see a good number of Wheelers out to race. If you fancy giving cross country a go come along, we plan to have one of the club gazebos up, so we’ll be easy to spot.
