Family Bike Ride for Charity – Sunday 9th October

West Suffolk Wheelers is a cycling and triathlon club based in Bury St Edmunds; formed in 1922 it is celebrating its 100th year Anniversary.  Based at their purpose built Club House in Shakers Lane the Club has over 250 members who participate in all forms of cycling, swimming and running.

The Club is holding a Family Bike Ride for Charity for any abilities and experience with all proceeds going to the Club’s 2022 nominated Charity Mind – Suffolk, participation is completely Free. The event will leave from the Moreton Hall Car Park on Symonds Road at 9:30 on Sunday October 9th.  A number of routes will see riders break for refreshments at Bradfield St George Village Hall before returning to Moreton Hall at approximately 12pm.  All proceeds from the sale of refreshments will be donated to Suffolk Mind.  The Club wishes to thank their official sponsor Waitrose and Partners for their generous donation of the refreshments.

All proceeds to Suffolk Mind

Riders will be asked to arrive from 9:15am and will be split into groups of 10 riders with each group being supported by members of the Club who will lead and tail the group.  The route is sign posted should riders wish to make their own way round the course.

The route will follow cycle paths and quiet country roads and safety will be paramount. 

The route is approximately 18 miles with a shorter option reducing the ride to 10 miles.
